Your kind generosity changes lives
AEIOU Foundation is a special place providing evidence-based specialist therapy, education and care for children with autism under six years with high support needs. The wellbeing and capacity of families is a priority with training and support a valuable aspect of the service. Established in 2005, AEIOU operates across three states in Australia in 11 locations, with around 300 children attending each year.
Providing each child with a means to communicate with confidence is a high priority for our therapy teams. To ensure this is possible, our teams require tools and resources which will enable effective communication strategies to be taught. One essential tool is an iPAD with a variety of communication apps and plays a vital part daily in assisting our therapy staff to effectively support each child in their care.
Vital funding is needed to replace iPADS (with screen protectors and shock proof cases) and communication applications installed. These devices are essential and used daily by educators and speech therapists to determine individual support requirements for each child, with all children enrolled in these AEIOU centres benefiting from this equipment.
iPads essentially enables our therapists to determine immediate and ongoing support requirements for each child in our care.
Your impact to children with autism
All funds raised help to ensure children enrolled in our service access quality educational resources and provide them with the greatest chance to develop the skills they need to reach their full potential.
AEIOU Foundation offers hope and can make a genuine difference in the lives of these children and their families by helping to limit the more disabling aspects of autism.
Even though children graduate from AEIOU and transition into new learning environments, they never truly leave us. That brings us light and hope and creates a positive focus for all our staff, encouraging them to continue the vital work they do each day.
Please, donate today and help children with autism live their best lives.
