April is Autism Awareness Month and I’m being AWESOME for kids with autism by joining a 2025 AEIOU Fun Run.
AEIOU Foundation help give children with autism the best start in life. They have centres that offer fun, safe and engaging spaces for children with autism, combining therapy, specialist education and care in one place.

Aydan's Story
Tuesday 18th FebOur beautiful, vivacious boy, Aydan, had a tough start in life—diagnosed with allergies as a baby and experiencing a frightening reaction to a vaccine at just four months old. By 18 months, we noticed he wasn’t reaching the same milestones as his older brother. Well-meaning friends assured us he’d catch up in his own time, but deep down, I knew there was more to it.
At two years old, Aydan was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Thanks to NDIS support, we were fortunate to access 12 months of intensive early intervention therapy at AEIOU Arundel—and it changed everything. Their incredible team helped Aydan develop his communication and toileting skills, allowing him to transition to mainstream kindy at just 3.5 years old, with the ability to now form simple sentences and engage with his peers.
AEIOU gave our family hope and provided Aydan with the foundation he needed to thrive. Now, we want to ensure other children have the same opportunity. We would be so grateful for any donations to help AEIOU continue their life-changing work for families just like ours.
