Your generous support helps build futures for children with autism

Funds raised at this exquisite fundraising Gala will be directed to a new, purpose-built centre in Townsville, replacing the current leased building which is no longer fit for purpose.

The new build is made possible with thanks to this community, along with major donors, state and federal funding. Project costs are higher than originally anticipated due to inflation, and the rising cost of living.

Details for the build are are moving ahead, with a ground-breaking to be celebrated by Spring, 2023.

“The Townsville centre location and amenities present serious challenges. What not only gets us by, but helps us thrive, is the incredible team, and families who make this centre sing. A new building will provide appropriate spaces for children to receive individual and small group support, to learn and play in a safe environment that is designed to meet their unique needs. What will make it special? The children, their families and ours staff are the heart of AEIOU, and this centre will encourage expansion in our service offering and improved amenities to support our community”Alan Smith, CEO

Guests at the Gala will also be given an opportunity to make a caring pledge for children whose families are experiencing financial hardship, through AEIOU Foundation’s Little Learner’s Fund. The Little Learner’s fund provides financial bursaries to vulnerable families to aide cost of living expenses, noting, these bursaries are to alleviate family stress, rather than go towards the program at AEIOU.

AEIOU Foundation is unlike any other service in Australia, integrating therapy, education and care in a holistic program. We measure and evaluate each child’s progress with standardised assessments and daily data collection, informing individual goals and achievements and overall fidelity of the program. This data is unique to AEIOU, which enrols more children with autism in this age bracket, with these unique needs, than anywhere in Australia.

This is a celebration of our partners and supporters, and achievements of the children in our service and the community and quality service we have established over 18 years, all made possible with thanks to those who believe in, and share our mission.
